A wise woman once said, "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down." Humans are simple creatures, and at the end of the day, we're easy to trick. We think we're so slick giving our dogs their pills hidden in hunks of cheese. But then we sprinkle iodized salt on our food and drink water with fluoride because we can't be trusted to get those nutrients on our own.

Motivation for me is all about a system of rewards. I send this work email, then I get to have an iced coffee. I fold my laundry and then get to watch an episode of Bridgerton. I go to the gym and get to buy myself new gym shoes as a reward. We have to trick ourselves in little ways all throughout the day. The good thing about these memes, though, is you've already earned them. You're here, so you get to enjoy them guilt-free.
